stock internal b16a2 + gt28rs and full ATS geared tranny w/ 4.9fd
i have a tranny that's been used in an all motor setup before, it's a gsr tranny w/ ATS 1, 3, 4, 5 gears, ATS 4.9 final drive, and Quaife LSD. I have a spare B16A2 that i wanna turbo, very mild set up for a fun weekend car and maybe some track time
my question is, the gears are so short in the transmission, how would it react with the turbo on the stock b16a2? i'm only looking for maybe 220-240whp on 91 octane

Re: (GiNuWiNe)
well i dont think i worded my question right
i meant to say something like
b16a2 w/ a turbo setup that puts out 250whp, using LS transmission
b16a2 with EXACT same setup as above, but all you did was change the transmission to a jdm itr 4.7fd transmission
how would that affect the car?
wouldn't the car with the 4.7fd be faster than the car with ls transmission since the turbo setup was never changed, and now the gears are shorter so the car revs alot faster
the only thing i would suspect is maybe it's might "run out" on the top end, it'll run out of mph

do it up with the tight geared tranny and the ball bearing gt28, that will be such a fun daily driver, your going to have an awsome powerband if its the larger gt28

well it will be a whole lot better than the ls tranny on that motor. Make sure you have a tall tire for the track though
