Default Adding more fuel?

Hey guys. i was wondering if its safe to add fuel w my adjustable fuel pressure reg. on my own? (i.e. w/o taking it on thw dyno) i got dsm 450's on my turbo gsr with a conservatively tuned chipped ecu and was wondering also if adding a few more psi of fuel would help me run more rich at WOT.

what do you hope to gain from bumping the fuel pressure anyway?

the way i see it, the only thing you're going to do is lose power and ruin your gas mileage...

unless you have a wide band TELLING you that your running lean you shouldn't change it, butt dynos aren't accurate by any account. Also if you have a "conservately" tuned ECU you probably running enough rich already you turn up that PSI you could potentally wash you rings and then you'll blow the motor because gas will start to mix with your oil and break it down.

so no it is not safe to adjust your fuel pressure without the proper knowledge and gauges, if you have those you wouldn't ask this question so I wouldn't touch the fuel pressure if I was you.
