It will choke off power and increase turbo lag. Not a bad way to prevent your engine from blowing up if you're just messing around.

Lag = traction

and yes you lose topend power, but gain sleeper points. As long as no one sees my FMIC they think its just a stock DX H/B with chipping clear coat, then SSSShhhhh, WOOOssH, SHHHHHH. BYE BYE.

stock exhaust will hinder your numbers but wont hurt the engine....might wanna get an EGT gauge...im not sure but i would think less flowing exhaust would cause the exhaust gases maybe to get backed up a lil bit and cause some problems. im probably wrong like always. but i would do a 2.25" or 2.5" exhaust w/ a high flow cat and one of those mufflers that look damn close to stock. not those Apexi N1's or something of the likes...unless you like the bling bling exhausts...

I had a buddy blow the stock muffler off of the piping with a stock non-turbo'd B18C1 in a 93 hatch.

I wouldnt recommend it, but just my $.02!

Too bad no one makes a muffler that can perform like aftermarket ( or close to it ), but make it sound very close to stock....

I hate the way fart pipes look on all most any honda, and REALLY hate the way they sound on N/A hondas.

Fart can
Looking/sounding stock, going fast

The way a mustang sounds
The way they normally perform

bad idea, why not just get a custom cat-back with a turbo or stright through muffler, would cost around $250

I'm rite there with you, I cant stand the loud raspy sound of 99%of the imports with fart cans

Or most any healthy v-8 with a nice exhaust (excluding cars like old camaro's with glass packs that are as old as the car, or my favorite the remove the muffler trick )
