Re: are stock cams.... (hydroflip)
maybe if you told us what car you have it would help
but to jump the gun and take assumptions, stock cams are good for turbo because the more overlap you get, the worse, cause the air just blows right through while it can be pressing in....lift is good if i remember, cause if it lifts higher, more air goes in but duration, if both exhaust and intake are long, overlap will occur, and i already told you why that is bad.....so like...CTR cams vs GSR cams, i would stick with GSR cams....cam gears are very useful at this point to tune the cams to optimize them for a force fed car. HTH

yes stock cams are the way to go. You can go with a mild cam if you know what you are doing. I especially like the new crane cams.

I think any Type R series cam will do you less good; they're designed to wring that last few hp out of a naturally aspirated car; the overlap will almost certainly be fighting you so you'll end up dialing the overlap out with adjustable gears and negating whatever benefits the cams might have offered. Just stick with the stock cams and tune, tune, tune!
Save the cam money you would have spent and put it into a "standalone ECU" savings account.
