Default still able to use this turbo?

got a t3/t4 (turbonetics or garrett, I forget) just recently from a buddy of mine's. the nipple on the compressor side is broken off. also has a small chip on the compressor side where it goes to the intercooler piping. no shaft play. doesn't look like excessive oil was leaking from it. jw if I could still use it without any problems. I'll try to post pics later. TIA

looks pretty simple to fix, show a better pic of how bad the chip is.
you can get the nipple fitting out with an easy out.

that chip is tough, but you can do one of 2 things:

1) Find out what compressor housing is used for the compressor wheel you have and purchase a replacement housing. (Also eliminates your "nipple" breakage problem). Its important to find what compressor wheel you have anyway. (the .60/.63 mean little to answer that question.) you'll need to measure the wheel and compare those measurements

2) Cut the compressor outlet above the "chip" and have bead welded to be able to hold a silicone hose. then use an "easy out" to fix your nipple breakage problem.

If you don't have the resources, Option 1 would be your best bet, but find out what that compressor wheel is.
