For my PS line I actually dremeled off the bracket that attaches to the frame and zip tied it to the lower support beam. That helped to free up about 1.5" of space. It sits just perfectly between the radiator and intercooler.

hey for you g2 guys, was it a bitch to remove the bumper cover off the actual bumper? I CANT GET IT TOO COME OFF and i think it would be easier for me to work on it with it on...or at least run run the charge piping first. did you use an impact driver? theres like 7 screws that are definatley on there... any ideas.

I had the same problem....just get some penetrating bolt breaker **** and it should work. I would also try a phillips bit that will fit in a rachet. Kinda gives you more leverage for turning. I will find a pic of my bumper support for ya. Took me an hour or so with the air dremel.

EDIT- Heres one...

Good luck Dan.

If you're up for it, I think a few of us will be down to Cincy at Raceline to use the dyno some time over winter break.

nice to see another nati honda/acura getting boosted. i just got my rebuilt block put in last night and cranked it up. i actually just took my turbo kit off and sold it to a guy on here. no more turbo D for me. gonna start a 6th gen civic LS turbo setup next. have fun with all the custom work. itll definitely be worth it.

Man that sawzall is going to take forever. You need an air compressor with a die grinder and some good cutoff wheels. Once we got some good wheels my brother cut trimmed my support in no time.

You should probably just buy a die grinder, mandrel, and cut-off wheels. You'll probably find it useful for other things down the line. Die grinder will be cleaner than using a torch or sawzall.

Hopefully, you've got a tank that holds a lot of volume or a place that doesn't mind the compressor being on while you work. Die grinders use the air rapidly.

looks good man!

I have a question though, i've been thinking about this also....

If you bolt the bumper support to the car, attach the IC to it and run the pipes, how do you attach the bumper to the bumper support when it's already on the car?

The headlights cover half of those screw/bolt things you need access too???

Oh and: have a good vacation!

there are people who have kept their A/c, it is just more of a headache to actually run all the piping. Consider you must also use a space saving manifold such as a log, and a smaller (correct me if im wrong) turbo. good luck with your project.
