Standalone
Hello!
I am interesting in buying standalone? But which? I dont have any tune shop in my country so i need that kind of standalone to tune myself. That I can plug my laptop in and change parameters...
Is AEM EMS the only one? Or I can pick something else?
Thanks!

Re: Standalone (wing)
I know you said "Stand Alone" but there's the e-manage as well... It's supposed to be pretty user friendly... But if you don't have a dyno to tune your car and you don't know how to tune it then i'de be really careful...

Re: Standalone (frostcivic)
If i go with Hondata i ll must go on dyno to tune it.... and i dont have any dyno in my country.
With AEM i dont need dyno tests. I can tune it myself.
With E_manement i think i need dyno....

Re: Standalone (wing)
i have the AEM EMS and i would recommend that if you don't have a dyno nearby. the reason is because of all the capabilities the EMS has and the instant changing of parameters instead of burning a chip. i would also recommend that you buy their wideband or a wideband when you get the EMS so you can do your own tuning...or set it for AUTOMAPPING which lets the EMS tune itself. this is probably the best feature for a beginning tuner as it will help set the fuel map and allow the tuner to work from there.
also, the TECHs over at AEM are awesome and totally helpful. they'll answer any question you have...the only downfall is that they're hard to get a hold of.
then there's the AEM forum as well...there are many questions answered over there...but it's somewhat of a slow moving forum so some questions may not be answered for awhile.
