Default ssca manifold

before i get bombarded with remarks i bought the car like this.ok.so i had the car for over a year with a ssca turbomanifold(b18a1) and i never had a problem with it, i read some threads about ssca being cheap and crap and i even saw the same manifold that i have all broke,so before this happens to me i was thinking of swithching to a cast iron manifold, does a anybody know a good manifold for a t3/t4 with a 3inch enter diameter.

look at drag, muteck(sp) and do a little searching, have you looked into some shorty manifolds like SLS?

if your answer is no, you had better look into them. I have one of SLS's shorties on my car and love it. Nick and Mike will hook you up with a great product....PM PSI2HI for more details

its a common problem since those manifolds are built from such thin metal...which is why its so cheap

nope, not a problem at all, just make sure to watch the metal on the inside for signs of too hot or too clod of a weld.

The rewelded sections are holding stronger than ever...

I am contimplating making this manifold a joke by using a wirefeed to weld it completely up.... the whole thing.

It will solve the thin metal problems by adding more material... HAHA!

Since i don't have 2000+ to shell out for your average top mount single manifold for a GTR, I picked up an XSpower mani. People have had good luck on these with GTR's in the UK, I'm milling the head flange flat, going over all the welds, and changing the WG flange to fit a tial44 and being done with it. I hope to be around 1200 bucks into convert my GTR to a single turbo, for the manifold, turbo, charge piping, downpipe, and oil line.

Just as a little something to throw out there, for a limited time I am offering one person a "trade in" of his SSAC manifold for payment towards one of mine at a very lowered price. So anyone wanting to upgrade to a "real" manifold, PM me for details on this one time offer.

Your SSAC manifold has to be either only slightly cracked or unaltered and I'll be keeping it, of course.

Gotta get into the fight to get them off the street man....

Maybe I'll start the first SSAC collection of failures.
