Default Spool times on a B16A?

Not sure if there is another thread like this, if so, sorry and if you could direct me to that thread thanks.

I know that spool times all depend on what turbo, manifold, exhaust size and ect. that you are using. But I was wondering if I could find out when people are hitting full boost and what there setups(like turbo, mani, exhaust, how much psi, stock head, ect.) are. Thanks

This is way too broad of a question...what are your goals???

Obviously a T3 .42/.48 is going to spool faster than a GT3582 on a B16. Narrow down your question....

i had 2 setups so far both with the same turbo parts which are turbonetics t3/t04e ball bearing 57trim .63 hotside, meutek manifold,3" dp and exhaust, tuned on aem ems.

-b16b 10.8:1 compression hit 10psi at 3800rpm!

-b16a block with 8.3:1 compression with b16b head hitting 14.5psi at 4600 rpm and 10psi at 4500rpm.

both 1.6 setups, obviously the current lower cr setup spools later, but i dont mind it as i have full traction in 1st gear even with 317whp

As I mentioned in my first post I was just wondering what peoples setups were and when they would hit full boost. I didn't ask for one specific turbo I am just curious as to what turbos people used and when they hit full boost with that.

Are you looking for stock B16s, piston/rod B16s, fully built and sleeved...??

Like i said, this is a very broad topic...

Preferably not a full drag car, so a stock B16a or a B16a with forged pistons and rods and maybe a port and polished head.

I have a B16 81.5mm JE 9:1 pistons, SCat rods, stock head/cams, Peakboost turbo kit w/Garrett 57trim .63a/r. In first gear, I hit 14psi at just under 5000rpms. On a highway run, I can get full boost before 4000rpm.

81.5mm B16A, neukin mani, 3.5" DP/exhaust, ported head, skunk2 pro1's, T3/T67 HO BB .82 A/R. 30 psi a bit before 7000, 15 psi at 6400.

My spool was unchanged when I went from 10.2:1 to 9.0:1 compression. I think you forgot to add some timing back in

I had a stock b16 with a sc61 on a log manifold. It sucked. 22 psi by 7000rpms... Worst setup ever. I would strongly recommend a smaller turbo, what are your goals?

when I started this thread last year I was going to buy a b16, but now I am in the middle of building a LS/vtec(Wisco pistons, eagle rods, Stock obd1 jdm B16a head). my goals are to hit ~350WHP on 93 octane, I will be running a ramhorn mani with 3"dp to 3" exhaust. I am thinking of getting a T3/T4 57trim with a .63ar and would like to see full boost ~5200, but I am not really that sure about spool times because this is my first DOHC build. I am used to a SOHC-T so i cant wait to get my DOHC setup running
