Default Spark Racing Rods

http://www.sparkracing.com/pro...d=184

anyone used those rods yet in a turbo setup. they look just like the eagles and seem to have the same specs. i did a search and didnt get much results. some people say you get what you pay for but in reality....look at the v8 guys rod prices....they are more along the lines of what these spark rods are priced at, unlike the usual honda guys getting fucked routine where we pay 500$ for a set of 4 rods and the v8 guys spend 4-500 TOPS! for a set of 8 damn rods. i was thinking of getting these. my initial goal is 425whp.

WTF are you talking about? V8 guys spend 4-500 TOPS for a set of 8 cast or poor forging rods. Want a set of crower billet's for your 350? 1200 bucks, atleast.

Yeah, lets talk about the hondas getting fucked routine. You can use a stock crankshaft for 700+ horsepower. You can use a stock block with 700 dollars for sleeves for 700+ horsepower. You can use the stock head for 700+ horsepower. You can use the stock transmission for 700+ horsepower. Now, lets look at how V8 guys get fucked. Want to build a 700 HP SBF? Oh, too bad, you need to spend 2000 dollars on an aftermarket block, 800 dollars on a crank, 800 dollars on rods, 800 dollars on pistons, 1500+ dollars on heads, 2500+ dollars on a good transmission, 1000-2000 dollars on a rear end, double the cost for fuel injectors, expensive ECM's, turbochargers, turbo kits, etc, etc.

eagle rods for a v8 are like 400$ or cheaper....im looking at a jegs right now. just like they are for a honda...i would think they are made with the same process...and, pistons are the same way to, je are like 514$ for a set of 8....they are like 400 for a set of 4 for a honda(keep in mind, this is before most of out discounts we can scavenge for...but im sure they can too...like 309.99 for a set of 4 like ive seen for my b18. im not talking about the capabilities of the stock components. everyone knows imports get screwed on the aftermarket parts world...there is no argument on that. period.

I guess everyone but me.

Like I said, you can use the stock block, head, transmission, and crankshaft in a 9 second car making 700+ horsepower. If you think you're getting screwed by being able to put together a 700 horsepower capable shortblock for a little over 3000, I guess you're the kind of person that thinks stuff at wal mart is overpriced.

but once again, this thread never mentioned anything about what capabilities stock components have. its about aftermarket rods and their pricing...and how hondas are always higher, almost double...but this company actually has some that have the same characteristics and design as an eagle rod at half the price. sure they have weaker stock components in a chevrolet 350...but im not ******* talking about that at all. not back to the subject or the rods.................
