Default Spark Plug Help

I am looking for the part # of a NGK platnium plug for a 1999 Civic Si, but one heat range colder than factory . Can anyone help my out with this #, I tried NGK's website and I can't do it there. Thanks!

I dont know but i wouldn't run platinum in a turbo car. It holds heat longer than copper increasing the chance of detonation. I would stick with copper electrode ngk's

Thanks, I did that, I got regular NGK plugs at advanced auto for 8 bucks part #6097.

I don't think platinum plugs are going to create a hot spot/detonation situation if you get the correct heat range. Not that I really care if they do or don't - you get a better spark from cheap steel electrode plugs.

I use cheapass Densos. Why? Autozone stocks 24 of them at a time, and they never run out of stock... unlike the unobtainium NGK equivalents.

once every 5K miles...they're 1.50 each, 6 bucks per change, I am not skimping out on them

Ran the first set of NGK for 8K miles. The past two sets of Densos saw 5K each, and I'm 800 miles into this set. I'm a freak about reading plugs, so it's no especial hassle to pick a set or two up when at the parts store.

http://www.sparkplugs.com for those of you that are like me and have no local options available.. There is a local shop that sells ZFR7Fs for 5.88/each
