Spark plug gap'age

Default Spark plug gap'age

I bought ngk bcp7's and gapped them at .25...is this correct?
Wouldnt ya want a big spark though. stock is something like .45ish

thats fine. i usually do .028"

For our boosted application we want to not risk "blowing out" the spark. You are right you want the biggest gap possible. If you want to, experiment and see when you start to miss, then gap it another .004ish down because you may be missing only a few and not feel it. I have mine around .030" and don't have problems. You also want to run a colder plug since boost adds charge density which adds heat in the combustion chamber in the end.

i think ill stay with .25 and change to .3 in the next 6000 miles
