Some turbo questions
I have some issues and am hoping some of you can shed some light on my situation. I had an AVC-R along with MSD 6A installed yesterday. The AVC-R is set for .60 mm/Hg at 45% throttle which should be around 8.8 psi. I am only reading 6-7psi on my Autometer gauge. I am thinking I should trust the AVC-R more.
Second, I have no boost in first or second but the rest is fine. I am hoping it's just some setting on the avc-r that needs to be adjusted. I am still reading it but hopefully that's all that is.
Third, does the temp sensor from Autometer (competition) break easily? I've only been using it for about three months and it's reading 1200 degrees F max now. I use to get around 1400 to 1500 on the highway. Is it more likely that the gauge is bad or the sensor? Any way to test it instead of buying new parts?
On a good note, S200 idle control seems to be much better than my previous 2b unit. I have steady idle now between 900 to 1000. It does not dip either like it use to when I put the car in neutral slowing down. It would dip then come up before. I am very happy about that. I hope to get some fine tuning done this week.
