Default some problems

Okay, the first one that I have is that my turbo (a t3 with a.60 ar) is making an erratic sound everytime I first start the car. After a few minutes of driving the sound dies down, but even if I shut it off and start it again, the sound comes back.

Secondly, I cannot get boost past 3 psi. I even have the wastegate shut (it's an internal set at 15) and I disconnected the actuator arm and have a rod holding the wastegate shut, and I still can't go higher than 2 or 3 psi. what could be some problems that would prevent me from boosting higher than this?

thanks is advance

check that the boost gauge is hooked up correctly and that there are no vacuum leaks. assuming u closed off the wg and there is no air leaking, then the only thing left to check is probably the air charge pipes and IC for leaks.

worst case if there is really something wrong with your turbo, maybe u need a new one or have ur old one rebuilt.
