Some new D16 numbers
Hit the rollers again in 110 degree weather, I'm not sure how much this plays a roll, but the numbers were a little shy of the 400whp I was looking for.
Anyways, cars runs strong, happy with the results!
Thanks again to Chris Tapp of Tappauto.com for the great tune.
Setup:
D16Y8
Benson Sleeved
CP/Eagles
Supertech Valvetrain
Stock Y8 Cam
GE IM/GSR TB
EL Manifold
FR T3/T61
Hondata
etc. etc.

Hey EL, I'm curious, are you using the stock oil pump / pan? I ask because I've read a couple things about the y8's having inadequate oiling, leading to a knock or bearing failure with the #4 rod. Have you tried to address this at all, or is it running fine?
Nice setup btw, good luck with the 11s.

Re: (ELSpool)
Maybe it has to do with the temp but I find these numbers very low, especially the torque. What was your Tq number when you dyno it @ 20psi last year ?
Nevertheless, I wish you a lot more low numbers

good numbers man.
this is on a mustang and they read alittle low.
track times should be a better measurement of power
i went 12.3 with 300 whp, you will see 11s no problems.
mid 11 in a 4dr would be pimpin
keep us updated

Ya, tq number always read low on tapps dyno. There are a tonne of cars come off with numbers lower than normal, but traps speeds well above what it should... either way my car is a pig, oh well, something alittle different

yeah mustangs read alot lower... we had honda dyno 501 last year and trap 139... there are hondas on here that make 790 and trap 141 so....
I think the "bearing and oiling issue" with the Y engines has somthing to do with using the P2P map an the timing used. They are pretty much hammering the bearings, i dont think its quite an oiling issue.

I know, I've been on that dyno and it didn't read any lower than the other dynos I went. I think I had 220wtq at the time on Tapp dyno. I have 240wtq @ 15psi right now. At 25psi, I would expect nothing less than 300wtq.
Anyway, if you don't run 11's with this, change the driver
