sohc turbo question
just wanted to know if it was koo to just drop the turbo. without making any upgrades to your motor such as injectors, fuel rail etc............and how much u should boost..........if u have this set up.
First off, what SOHC do you have?
The only upgrades that you will need to make to your system are injectors and some sort of fuel management (AFC, Uberdata, Hondata, etc.). Everything else you will add is all external.
I wouldnt boost more than 10-11 psi (with a good tune) on a stock D16. I've been raping my D16Z6 at 10psi for about 20k miles and I havent had any problems. It's all in the tune. Or you can just run 8 psi if you want to, but I definatley wouldnt go past 10-11 psi.

D16Y7 or D16Y8? Well, either way everything I wrote before still applies. I would personally recommend doing some research, and putting a kit together youself versus buying a pre-fabbed kit. If you want to make it faster in the long run, you'll have more potential if you make a kit yourself than if you bought a pre-fab kit.
With the setup i have right now, I would guess about 210whp. I ran a 14.0 @ 101 (2.3 60') with this setup, so that would put me a little over 200whp I would imagine. It's super fun to drive. With the setup that is in the machine shop right now, I'm looking for 350whp.
