Re: (sXekid)
What catchcan setups are you guys running? Right now I'm using the good ole' open black box and open breather.
Rota's getting me some prices for a setup similar to what he used, what's everyone else using. What did it cost? How well does it work?

im using a morsoso radiator overflow can.
it is black plastic, ~4in diameter.
i tapped some hose barbs into it and ran the lines to it.
cost ~ $50 for everything
i used to have a 5th gen accord too, i ran n20 on it though.
they can surprise alot of people
for somethign different.

That's a good idea, I'm sure it looks almost stock which is nice. Any pics by any chance?

ill get pics when i get home.
it is simple and effective.
my main reason for switching to a catch can (from just venting it to the ground) was to make sure i wasnt the reason someonerhit a wall (at the track)

Re: (Andryzzle)
speaking of catch cans,
how do you guys have yours set up.
I have a breather on the vavle cover(crank case vent, which i dont like) and then hose from where the PCV valve was to the catch can, and a line from catch can to intake mani
i want to run it like this when i bring my car out of winter storage
a hose from the pcv to the catch can and a hose from the valve cover to the catch can. ?
sound good

Re: (Turbo_y8)
I am trying to collect the parts for my boost build now so I have been buying & stashing parts like crazy, so anyway..I ordered an NRG torque damper & received the hood dampers, I was thinking about returning them until I realized they cost twice as much so I figure I'll just keep it & buy the torque damper (again )
Sorry for the OT

Re: (92BluEH-3)
My catch can is a fancy aluminum sports drink bottle. Has two hose barbs on the sides and the breather filter attatched to the cap on top. One hose runs from the valve cover breather, the other from the "black box" oil seperator on the back of the engine block. The PCV valve port on the IM is plugged.
I haven't gotten around to putting steel wool in it yet but I've been using a blue shop paper towel, I just change when the towel its discolored. I guess it works, I've been using it since july and I still have consistant/strong compression.

Re: (G2turbo_terror)
i made mine out of a castrol oil bottle with the clear slit on the side. Saame princible as g2turbo_terror. However when it rained today there was condensation in my lines (clear lines) i got scared and took the catch can off and rehooked up all the pcv lines and valve becuase im not sure if its fine for it to do that. Dont want the condensation to get in my engine. Is this fine?

I have mine routed from the black box directly to the catchcan(no PCV vale) then pre turbo and the valve cover vent to catchcan and then pre turbo as well.
I made the can myself using a 3" ALUMINUM pipe with brass fittings and a drain in the bottom.
The inside is baffled with an aluminum insert running about 3/4 of the way down.
Also make sure you use a slashcut.

mine basically looks like the silver one in the post above this one, but mine is black plastic.
i have the stock valve cover vents, plus 2 more bungs on the back of the valve cover.
i hollowed out the PCV valve and ran that line to the catch can also.
so far that seems to do the trick
here is a pic of the valve cover: (old pic)
