Default SOHC ?

Yes this is another SOHC turbo question.. and yes I have researched this till my eyes bled.. i am going with the turbo instead of a swap because i have a 98 ex with 23,000 miles on the car and 10,000 of those miles are highway miles. Now after doing some research I have decided to go with the
1)F-Max kit
2)blitz turbo timer
3)blitz boost controller
4)clutchmaster stage II
after all that should I be upgrading my tranny? I have heard that the tranny is good up to 300hp. Is this correct.. or should I also invest in a tranny.. any pointers about this setup?

no, you won't be anywhere near 300whp till your boosting over 20psi.

Im looking at 7 to 10psi

Yes its a stick.. is the tranny ok to handle this? Im not looking for 300hp I just want to make sure that the tranny can handle the power shifts and the clutch drop..

Black EX with Blue airbrushing on both sides..
thanks for the help.
I got one more question and im just curious about this one.
I have noticed that many people here have gone with the greddy kit. Any particular reason why or is it just because the price. I didn't find alot of talk about the Fmax compared to what I found about the greddy kit.

There are many reasons people on H-T go with the Greddy. Here are a few:
1)considerably cheaper than the Drag, Revhard, FMAX
2)faster spool up time with the smaller turbo(lacks top end though)
3)internal WG(better for emissions)

BTW, I hope you have deeeeepppp pockets to support your dream to get 300hp out of that d16. Not saying it's impossible, just be expected to upgrade almost everything you have. Probably would be cheaper to just get a b18 and go from there. Good luck!!
