You need a snap ring pliers with bigger *****.
Go to NAPA and get one that you turn the handle to tighten the pins. That one will do the job. If the turbo is dirty/rusty at all make usre the snap ring is coated in PB Blaster everywhere BUT where the pliers attaches.
Also, BE CAREFUL!! That snap ring will fly off and kill you when it is compressed so be sure to unscrew it slowly after removal.

I don't mean to bring this back from the dead but I'm having issues clocking my turbo...
I can't find snap ring pliers big enough to clock my turbo!!! I've looked everywhere! And there are no shops around here that work on turbos so I can't just use theirs...
Where can I find large enough snap ring pliers??? I'm so frustrated!
Thanks

i bought mine from napa.
they are heavy duty, but it is still a chore to remove it. the pliers have a big screw that moves the ends in and out.. good luck.
