clocking turbo
Before anyone says search, i've already done that and yielded a few good suggestions.
Hey I'm trying to clock a turbo and i cant get the turbine side to budge at all... i've tried hiting it with a rubber mallet torching it, using WD-40, and using a breaker bar in the turbine inlet and compressor outlet and it wont budge, and of course combinations of both. Anyone have any advice? I really need to get this turbo clocked and it wont budge been at it for like 2 hours

Re: clocking turbo (AccidentproWn)
We normally break them loose using PB Blaster from Checker/Shucks/Kragen. Soak it daily for a few days, then it should tap loose. Major force should not be required, only patience...

Re: clocking turbo (AccidentproWn)
beat the **** out of it with a dead blow, if that doesnt work move onto a bigger hammer... thats what i did...
put a peice of wood ontop of trhe turbine housing and just beat the **** out of the inlet with a huge hammer through the peice of wood.
do it on a bench and be carefull you dont want your turbo to fly off your housing and damage the blades.

Re: clocking turbo (nickromeo)
YES beat the **** out of the turbo. I had problems with clocking my turbo and I got sick of it and I smashed it real hard and it moved.

Re: clocking turbo (flyazzcivic)
