Smokin'
My car is smoking its *** off at idle but only after it warms up. When I first start it there is no smoke at all. Also under boost ot doesn't smoke but when I pull up to a stop lights it smokes so much that it will cover 3 cars around me. I've checked my turbo and there is no play in it. How can I check to see if its the rings or valve guides? Has anyone had this problem before? As soon as I get this fixed I can finish getting my hondata tuned. I went down to dallas and the wideband went out and we had only tuned up to 4500 rpm so I'm stuck limping around until I get this finished and tuned.

Re: Smokin' (jdmciviceg)
you can do a compression test on you cylinders to find if it is your rings, valves or headgasket. as far as your turbo, mine had almost no play at all in the shaft when it was cold and when it got hot i could move it up down side to side, and in and out. when i took it apart it was bad. i have pics. i must remind you in the pics i cleaned it up some. so i looked worse.
