smoke comin out from vavle cover breather
i have a stock block gsr that was boosted and then about 3 days later i noticed smoke cover form the vavle cover breather... so i read some treads on h-t and was told that my rings or ringland was gone.. or it could be also my vavle seals... what can it be?
compression was as follows. cylinder1=120,2= 120,3=120,and4= 60
could it be rings? ringlands? or vavel seals... alot of smoke is coming out fro the breather...

great now me and that mad scientist have to rip apart the block and replace the piston rings you fried!!
j/k your ringland(s) is/are cracked in #4. Rings dont go in 3 days and neither do valve seals

Re: (soontobeboost)
same happened to me with my stock block gsr. I was boosted for two years though. Started it up one morining and had a lot of smoke coming from the breather. tore it down the next day and found #1 and #4 ringlands busted.

Re: (RyanCivic2000)
what would happen if i was to be boosted again ? will my ringlands blow up and my car die? cuz it starts up perfectly fine and drives fine but a little sluggish.

If you're talking about boosting on the blown ringlands it will only be a matter of time before the car will probably be undriveable and do even more damage.

Re: (RyanCivic2000)
Once the ring lands have gone the ring can be trapped and ar not supported. I know, my ringlands went and i carried on driving it and hitting boost then got loads of smoke out the back and it had smashed the rings. Luckily no damage to the sleeves.
