Default SMC versus AFC

Why would the afc hack be better than smc. I know(ok, i'm pretty sure) the afc has more points at which you can cut and add(can you add) the fuel but is there any other advantages. I'm thinking about getting the smc until i can get a hondata s200.

Thanks
DC

Got my SMC in today. For $89+s/h, it looks like it's going to be a sound investment; and saved me $150. I'll let you know tomorrow though after I get it installed w/ my 450's.
