Default SMC on an NA motor?

i'm going to supercharge next spring but i was wondering if i could get a head start by installing the smc along with 450cc injectors. would this hurt? the wideband o2 sensor is already on the way as far as tuning is concerned. also if it doesnt hurt to install it ahead of time, would i possibly see performance gains at all? or is the ecu the most efficient in a NA state?

thanks

ECU will be best. No reason to mess with something that works fine. 450s NA will run waaaaayyy too rich.

well your stock injectors are 240's and the smc will cut the fuel down -55% so if you have wideband, you should be able to dial in your fuel just right. I think it would work right.

i think he's saying i could get it as low as 55% less or 45% of the 450's which is 200cc if i'm not mistaken. any other thoughts?

thanks

Yes, you can use 450cc injectors with the SMC on a NA application since you can essentially trim the injector duty for your specific application. Remember the SMC works in off-boost and boosted applications similar to a SAFC.

Well to me. I just don't see why you would want to do that to a stock motor. There wont be any benefits that I can think of.

I think he just wants to go ahead and install the injector and SMC right now. Then when he install the supercharger he can tune to it right then.

He could also install the cheaper 390cc dsm injectors and get the same effect with less fuel trim. If he is going the I/H/E route he can pump up his fuel quantity a little to get the fuel effect of the parts.

just buy an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, if you are buying a wideband just lean it out until you have the most power. if you are gonna install a supercharger the install is gonna take a while anyway you might as well do the smc and injectors then. since everything will be torn apart as is.
