hey all

i just installed the SMC+, vpac, and btc. i have a stock setup otherwise, so the SMC is set to zero correction across the board (i'm prepping for FI). it runs good, but when i try to redline, say, in second gear, acceleration seems normal until about 5k, where it takes FOREVER to reach the redline. i feel like i'm in 5th gear. does anyone know what this could be? i'd appreciate ALL suggestions. i dont know if its the SMC or the VPAC, but either way i need an answer.

ok, heres an update: i know its the vpac, but i dont know whats wrong with it. i bought it used from someone...maybe its broken. i say this because the blue "vpac" light is constantly on, instead of coming on with vtec. additionally, vtec does not come on at all. what could be wrong? faulty vpac???

forgive me but what is a vpac?

 

its the thing made by jackson racing that allows you to specifiy when vtec kicks in.
