smart next move...
ok guys ive got about $500 to play with, and here is the setup thus far:
-built block d16z6
-stock y8 trans and axles
-act 6 puck unsprung clutch
-300-320whp
-skunk2 coilovers w/ kyb agx struts
-bfg drag radials
now, im trying tofigure out which direction to go with my next purchase, so to help you help me, my goals are the following:
-7.9 1/8
-11.9 1/4
so which of the following mods would be best for me???
--59300 camshaft
-edelbrock intake manifold
-lakewood traction bar (ihave $200 credit through jegs, so its lakewood or none)
-lca bushings (front, its either this or traction bar)
-dual stage boost controller (so i can run less boost in low gears)
at this point the apexi avcr is NOT an option as im trying to keep this build somewhat in budget, and obx lsd is not either, because i cant convince myself to spend 500+ (with meinstalling that includes the unit, bearings, etc. to do it RIGHT) on a 100 dolalr trans...
so which is it guys, help a guy out, any other opinions would be AWESOME...

Sounds like two votes for traction bars already...that's what I'd do...it will really help your 60 foots alot. If you've already got a 200 credit, that leaves you enouph to get some 22x 8 slicks too. You should hook up pretty damn good at the line with those two things. Bet you could get into some 1.6 60' times...

Re: smart next move... (Synapse Motorsport)
slicks are out, already have some brand new bfg drag radials, and no one around here will pay anything for them second hand, so im gonna run them, so drag radials and traction bars???
i was thinking the bushings would stiffen up the caster control on thefront end enouhg, and then the dual stage boost controller would help keep wheelspin down in 1st and 2nd...

i dont know much about 2 stage boost controllers but i do know that putting slicks on my 15.3 sec n/a gsr brought it to a 14.8 so i'd have to say focus on traction even it it means selling you brand new tires on e-gay to get some good slicks
