small turbo for b16
what would be a good small cheap turbo for a stock b16, only looking to run 7-8 psi, just want a fun street car. Also i herd 7-8 psi is safe on stock internals.... is this true?

220hp would be great, mostly im looking for fun daily driver quick spool up and somthing that wont blow my engine up in half a year. I just compression tested my engine it got 185 185 185 185.... i think those are good numbers, what hp can i expect out of 7-8psi

Yes. How many turns did you do the test 5 or 10? ive seen people put down over 350 on there b16 dailys but its all about how much you want to spend on tunning and how bad your going to beat on it everyday.

it built up to 185 and then stayed there on each one, the things hauls and burns no syntheic oil even when i redline it, so i think she is good.

Re: small turbo for b16
actually 185 is a little low for a b16 specially considering my b20z use to get those numbers with 4-5 turns, but dont be afraid this all depends on the temp, oil and gauge it self, you can get very different numbers when those vary! the most important would be to get a leak down test done, see c-speedracing.com for demonstrations

185 comp. on a b16 thats atleast 10years old, maybe 20 if its a b16a are great numbers....250whp is a good goal for a dd on a b16, and will be reliable with a good tune..

Re: small turbo for b16
get a greddy turbo kit, use 550 injectors and get a blow off valve and a front mount intercooler, put on a thicker cometic headgasket to lower compression and arp headstuds and get a good tune. I've been runnin this setup on my jdm gsr motor and its my daily driver, winter and all, been runnin strong for over 4 years with no sign of wearing out. I run 8-12 psi and it makes mid to high 200's for hp and really good torque, its really fun and quick spool and unless I have a miracle engine, this setup should make good power along with awsome reliability. everyone doubted my setup but its funny when their NA motors are near blown after 4 years and mines still running strong. lmk if you have any questions. Another good thing is that you can find a greddy kit with everything i stated for around 1,600 bucks. I even got a chipped p28 ecu with crome pro on it already and the injectors. Basically you end up needing to spend $200-$300 on miscelaneous parts, the headgasket, an head studs.
