Default Small boost leaks at compressor housing?

While pressure testing my piping I found I have very small air leaks where the compressor cover bolts to the back plate for the compressor. Is there a way to seal up these air leaks or should I worry about it?? According to my boost gauge I am losing about ~5psi of boost pressure throughout the system. I attached air compressor at the turbo inlet and put 20psi through it, then saw ~15psi at boost gauge in car. My friend says his garrett had an o-ring around the housing he thought, but was not sure. My Bullseye does not have an o-ring.

i laid a bead of hylomar gasket sealer on the inside lip to take care of it. i had the same issue, so i looked it up and it seems as though DSM guys have the same problem frequently. most of them use RTV, but i chose hylomar.

Thanks, I was curious if using silicon gasket would be a good idea or not. Maybe I'll do that and see how it works out.

its a common trouble. You can remove the compressor housing and either purchace a new o-ring or just use rtv around the edge.Just make sure the compressor cover goes back on perfectly square and spin the wheel to make sure nothing is binding.
