Default slow spool up

I got my turbo all functioning, got charge pipes to stop shooting off and same with vacuum hoses

However, I am having two problems, still...
a) all my exhaust manifold bolts keep unwinding.

and

b) the turbo is spooling at around 4,500 rpms and doesn't reach 7 psi till right after redline (about 7000rpms) which seems very slow for a 14b. Is this because of the bolts not being tight or is their another common cause?

check for leaks in your charge pipes and make sure your internal wastegate isn't leaking or something.

this may sound dumb but all of a sudden my was slow and it was taking forever to spool the turbo. I found that my fuel rail was leaking where the top of the injectors go into the rail. I fixed that and was good to go again.

Probably because of the bolts.

If they keep coming out, use safety wire.

I had to look safety wire up to. It is a really cool idea, just a little complecated for the amount of space I have to work.

Do you think lock washers would do the trick?

i have lock washers, mind seem to be staying secure, but it has only been 3 days but they are still very tight

My advice is to get lock washers, and tighten everything again after the turbo is hot
