Sleeving Block?
I found a b18c block for a reasonable price on ThePartsTrader. It needs new sleeves, so if this works out for me what sleeves do you guys suggest?
Darton?
Golden Eagle?
Benson?
What are the price ranges to have them installed?

Golden Eagle group buy info is here and it is still ongoing-

These are the best sleeves- they have yet to have a failure after hundreds of blocks.

benson's
think about it
the fastest uses bensons
Kubo Racing 9.1 sec 1/4 mile!!
and most of the fast cars are using benson's
the only one i know of who's not using them are Jojo Callos, my buddy Kenny Tran,
and dave bucher

Re: Sleeving Block? (RTEK)
I don't see how the sleeve could make the car faster, unless it allowed you to run more boost. Golded Eagle says their sleeves will handle 60 psi!!!!!!! Im pretty sure those guys arnt even running that much. Im sure their cars would be just as fast if they had Golden Eagles or Dartons.

contact RS Engineering for benson sleeves. I know a few people with benson sleeves that did not hold. GEM's sleeves look very well designed and I was told by them "our sleeves will not fail". So I went with GEM.

Golden Eagle all the way. They make and have designed their own sleeves. Very unique design and doesn't restrict coolant flow.

Re: Sleeving Block?
Ever hear of sleeves "dropping" in a re-sleeved engine? Benson's has something of a reputation for this and it has never happened with a block from Golden Eagle. The only two re-sleevers that I would consider would be GE or Leitner and Bush, but L&B is in Canada and the customs would be a pain.

Re: Sleeving Block? (BLK94RS)
bushcur doesnt sleeve his block to my knowledge... u dont need to sleeve dsm blocks... imo i like the idea of getting it done locally by a machine shop... considering ge doesnt sell their sleeves... i'd go with dartons or whatnot... iv seen them work and they do work on a a lot of cars... so why change the program?
