So I'm looking into either rebuilding my stock D16y8 or getting a new motor all around. I was thinking of going the Y8 boost route, however (I'm a newbie to all this so forgive me) I would like to get some insite on this subject. I've checked out other threads and so far all I've heard people do is get new Vitara pistons and Eagle rods. What else would I need to replace, or upgrade rather, to handle a boosr system? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Again, I am new to the whole Honda game, so I really don't understand most of this, take it easy on me

 

Best thing for you at this point, since your questions are rather redundant, is to look at the FAQ's in the forced induction forum. Plenty of reading there to get you more familiar. Can also check out hundred's of other people's builds and you can see what route you want to take.
