Default simple question

my car is set to run rich by the vortech fmu.. will this hurt any thing on the engine? my af gauge reads like 3 from full rich on my a/f gauge....its set this way to protect the engine because its turbo but not dyno tuned with hondata yet....

Your gas mileage goes poopie with an FMU. Rich conditions are safer than lean conditions though.

Don't the wrong idea from me though...I hate FMU's. Jacking your fuel pressure up above 100 psi is no good. If you have too much pressure it can make the injectors have to work very hard to open. Your fuel system was not designed to operate at that high of a pressure.

@ idle.

when you get into boost you start adding pressure... ex a 10:1 fmu will add 10 psi fuel pressure per 1 psi boost pressure.

so @ 5 psi your adding 50 psi of fuel pressure to your base 45 psi = 95, lots of fuel pressure still.

just an fyi to not go to crazy wiith boosting on the fmu... too much pressure is bad and it does not take much to add up to 100+ psi of fuel pressure.
