whats the air fuel like when it breaks up? .018 is kind of a small gap.. I gap mine at .024 and it doesnt break up with stock ignition.
what timing is it running and on what gas?

if i remember it is in the low 12's, dont know where timming is at that point, all hondata stuff is on the 'top at work, and we are running c16. goes on the dyno thursday i hope. i am about 95% sure it is at the crossover.

its cool, he pm'd me on it. bumping a thread to find an answer is cool. bumping a thread to say cool, isnt.
to answer what the car was doing, the dude that did my cyl head, installed the guides too shallow. and after the crossover, the springs went into coil bind. that was causing the breakup.
i should have known this after the cam install. the cams werent the culprit. i made great power on then in the new setup.

Thanks for the update. Made me think of something else. Having a similar problem on a single cam with a bisi 3.6 turbo cam... It's possible to have the same problem.

Whats the ign in the area.. not to question the tune, but i've fought a few problems on some turbo cars similar and it didn't have enough ign in the area..just a thought..have you tried adding a few degrees to see if it goes away or even taking away some? Its also possible your crossover is too low or too high.
Move vtec around first see if that helps, and then look at the timing.. I'd actually go a step futher and MAKE it do it, and shut the car off and pull the plugs and see what the plugs are telling you..
