Default Finally Street Tuned 12psi >>

Finally got my car back today from slowmotion.

There not going to mess with the boost controller untill we get on the dyno, so currently im running a steady 12psi.

Took it out for the 1st time and WOW is about all i can say. i was expecting alot less at 12psi. Car serious rips, they said prolly only around 250-275whp right now.

Pulls solid all the way out to 8000, might decide to go higher at the dyno.

The OBX diff and Action 2MS clutch work perfect with each other. Car holds pretty solid in 3rd gear.

here are the problems they had though, fixed for now.

y8 Dizzy with MSD cap and blaster 3 external coil. the car was breaking up at around 5500. plugs new, wires new, bkr7e's .028 gap. They swaped out the dizzy for a stock one with internal coil and the car works fine now. They tried hooking up the external coil to the new dizzy and nothing.

any ideas? What's the odds that the external coil is bad, so for now im running on a stock y8 dizzy with only upgraded wires. Works fine for now, but i need to fix this issue before we take it to 20+ psi.

thanks

spools real nice. starts right before 4k and pulls hard to 8k +.

full boost (12psi) by 5800-6000

Bump for slowmotion, they assembled/semi tuned my car (before it was mine) and as far as I see they did a good job. Going on 6 months now and I've changed and added some things but the platform was nice.

Good job man! Its nice to see more boosted rides in Ohio. I'll be moving to Columbus in May for an Internship at the Accord/TL plant in Marysville, maybe I'll see you around!

i think my MSD is causing issuesin my turbo set up too, im gonna do 2 different dynos, one with tha MSD set up and one with a stock dizzy and see what the diff is.

a friend on here with a massively powered civic, said he lost a net of 11 peak HP with the MSD, but his was a digital 7 andmines just a 6aL

stock distributors can handle up to 400hp., after that you need a stronger spark. I beleive digital7 is for v6 and v8's , and 6 series are for 4 cylinder cars.

I can just imagine that. Good thing though - if it was here in Miami I don't think I would have ever seen my car again.

Good Day,

trying to go back in a week to figure out the ignition problem

then prolly a week after that. i think were shooting for 24-28psi on the dyno.

im for sure not running that on the street. the car is perfect at 12-13psi that it is now. im sure my mind will change by the time i hit the rollers

how often do you guys boost. i did like 3 8k pulls today. and normaly 4-6 psi when driving.

is that normal, or am i ragging on it.

just the one up in the shop that you mentioned not the ss, by the way its normal to beat the **** out of your car when you first get it, i don't always do full pulls, but I see boost daily.
