i recently did a y7/y8 mini me and and plan to boost 1bar...we changed the hg to a greddy 2mm metal hg (dont know what the compression is)..my friend said that the stock headbolts would be able to hold up...but i am getting funny feelings that it wont...think i should put in arp headstuds? and if so i dont understand the double nut trick...

 

i doubt it will hold up. My headgasket on my y8 won't even hold up at 10psi with arp studs...

yikes...hmmm well i guess i will put the headstuds in just in case...but this is my mess around block...while the other one is gettin darton sleeves

 

well if its your mess around block and you think it will last until you get the new block in then you may want to wait, but its probably not gonna last long at all on 1 bar

 

haha word...what turbo were you using for 10psi?
