I am at a loss for words. Since I read this thread, my heart has sunk to my stomach and will be there for a while. I just hope that you pull through with this.. You've undergone a lot of loss in the last year, but now it's time for things to shine for you. That's the magic of life. I could see you giving up on Hondas, but don't give up on things that you love in life. Let this make you that much stronger.

I had to go to sleep early tonight but this thread has kept me up. Stan, I dont know you and we've never even talked but I've followed the progress of your car for as long as you've posted about it. Reading your post about sitting in your garage had me choked up, I thought I was gonna start balling in my house sitting in front of my computer..
It's funny cus this thread got to me so much I sent it too a bunch of people on my buddy list. And a few non-car people came back with "he's taking it too hard." But all the car people where IMing me telling me they were horrified, crying, or so angry they wanted to break something...
Thieves (and normal people for that matter) don't understand what us car enthusiasts feel for our cars. They underestimate what a peice of metal can mean to a person. They don't know what it's like to work for hours under your car, to accomplish a goal, or finally finish a big project.. All they see is either a waste of time, a pile of money for them to plunder, or a peice of metal. There is no meaning to them, and they just don't understand or care.
The only thing I can tell you is this: Cars are like women. Just get another one. This car might seem like it was the biggest thing you've ever done. But trust me build another car, doesn't have to be a honda. Complete and finish an entire new car. And then make another one. And projects will just be projects. And your first one will just be one that got stolen. It will make you feel better........
I'm so very sorry about your loss. Hopefully things will work out as best as they can. I'm gonna go pull my distributor rotor, some fuses, the ecu, and load my HKS USP .40 for the night cus I don't think I could be any more paranoid right now. If someone stole my 200nawhp, Near 1.0G skidpad, JDM hatch I'd ******* LOOSE IT! I would cry as the insurance handed me my $2500.00 check for the worth of the car.
I'm sorry and I'll keep an eye out on ebay and all the forums for you...
Thieves should be bludgeoned.

Thanks for the kind words guys, at this point, unfortunately I am done with Hondas...as much as I love

No update from the police yet. The scene is clean, no broken glass, nothing...it was just like parking your
car there and it dissapear.
And what was very very ironic was I finisihed the car on tuesday and I was suppose to leave for Dallas
yesterday. I had to unpack my clothes out of the suitcase I was getting ready to take back.
So, I really have nothing to say, I am trying to deal with the headquarter of the ins co or my agent to find
out what they can do...I was only able to talk to customer service rep last night. At this point, I have no
coverage...but we'll see what can be done...

being from vegas and knowing how often cars get stolen...
you'll be lucky to get it back the way it left you. (unless you already got it back).
I'd check i-15 between vegas and cali. A lot of car thieves steal the car, drive into a garage, strip it, then drive it out towards cali on spare tyres and leave it for dead.

I'am hurt reading this. I just saw this thread and I tell ya, I can feel your pain and suffering. Hard work just slipts away.
I will keep my eyes open. A week or so ago, I found a stripped white G3 teg with a front end conversion while en-route for my daily commute. I know I'm all up here in NorCal but sometimes, words spread like a disease.

It's like a punch in the gut.
However, the honda "scene" wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't a LARGE group of Honda enthusiasts out there willing to buy items for less than legitimate prices. IMO, that's the biggest turnoff to the "scene". Theft only exists where there is a market. If the turbo stuff is stripped off that car, it has a significant chance of ending up in the hands of someone on this list. Pathetic.

makes me even more paranoid about my car being stolen. my insurance company will only cover up to $1000 in non-stock parts if my car is totalled or stolen.

i really hope your car is ok, i was in vegas all week for sema and i was VERY suprised that more cars didnt get stolen, there were so many nice cars just sitting in parking lots, parking garages, and on the side of the road.
Have any of you thought about moving away from towns like that? I havent heard of a single car being stolen in Boise for so long, its just a thought.

Also as far as urbanracer.com is concerned i agree 100% with you fiaddictedsi the people who host and run that site should be assamed that they have taken no control over there posters. There are numourous posts for stolen HID's and some are just sickening beepers and numbers of thieves -- wanted post for legit or non legit motors that people posting other adds for motors will provide. Its sickening especially since it is mainly locals no lowlifes around my area. I believe our president said that there should be no distinction between criminals and the people who harbor them.

update : she still missing...

Wow, all I can say is that if I ever caught someone stealing my car, I would cut off his dick and make him eat it. Sorry about your loss, but just wondering what kind of antitheft devices you had in it.
