after a journal bearing turbo has a few thousand miles on it, its going to have a little bit of shaftplay....its unavoidable. If it ever gets bad enough where the turbine or compressor blades hit the inside of the housings, thats when you know you should have had it rebuilt

Is it burning oil?? If you have another car, your best bet is to just pull the turbo and send it off to be rebuilt....as soon as it starts throwing metal chunks in your engine, you're going to have bigger problems

im not sure if its burning oil or not i just purchased the turbo but it has no shaft play in and out at all just side to side a little bit... but like i said its a little more on the exhaust side so im not sure if thats normal to have a little more play on that side or not... the ocmpressosr side barley moves at all and does not even come close to hitting the housing or anything like that... its kinda a hard question to ask online and explain i know im just gona have to find some one local that deals with these on a daily basis and ask them

thanks
