Default Setup finally done! first time boosting!

and HOLY **** it pulls! First off the wastegate cracking open sounds insane, and my dsm bov makes me smile everytime

Finished the setup on tuesday night(thank god it started) and took it over yesterday to Richmond to get my hondata tuned @ gararge five. Anyway, I drop my car off at around 5pm, chat for about an hour, the tuner(wayne wu) does the street tuning at night. The setup consists of my stock b18a, lovefab shorty, SC50, RC 440's, s200b, yada yada. He called me last night at around midnight and told me his wideband was acting up, so he said he'd finish it off in the morning.....

I pick the car up at around 2, I wanted to run 9 pounds but they didn't have any stiffer springs for the wastegate so I had to leave it with the .5 bar spring my tial came with anywho, with my 2.25" exhaust and no dyno tuning the car still pulls HARD at around 4000rpm(7psi) and starts spooling at around 3500.

80mph comes up fast and the highway accel is MUCH MUCH better. In a month or so, I plan on running a full 3" kteller system and pick up a larger spring for my wastegate and go back for some dyno tuning. Just need to let the funds recouperate

2nd and 3rd are fun, the bov just screams I love it I would describe it as a type-s that holds its note for a little longer and is not so high pitched. When I was driving back I had my bags in the car along with my buddies, and not to mention I have a 200lb sub/box combo in the hatch. I plan on removing the sub tomorrow, and fixing a couple of rattles I'm getting from the exhaust heat sheild.

Expect some videos tomorrow night, as me and my bro are going to do a little filming

all in all, for 7 pounds, I'm completly satisfied. I also loved reading the first impression posts, now I can finally chime in

Oh and, for the people who say open downpipe isn't that bad, you must be losing your hearing, it could be heard 2 blocks away!

you don't need a bigger spring for more boost, buy a manual boost controller. This can raise the boost above what the spring is rated, but not lower.

Just make sure you get a decent quality boost controller and you wont have this problem. Much better then upgrading your WG spring IMO.

You should take your setup over to Shawn at Kenetic Motorsport in Port Kells. Him and Wayne (from g5) make a good tuning team, and Shawn is a dyno jedi.
