Default Setup boost by gear

Hello everyone,

Quick question, what do I need to setup boost by gear on my d16 turbo. I got a fully chipped p30 ecu.
Do i just need a mac3 ports solenoid and put it on the top of my wastegate then run a wire to the vtec input?
Also, is it required to have a electronic boost controller or can my tuner just do this on the ecu?

I don’t know if a basic chipped ECU will be able to help, to be able to use BBG you will need to add the required components to the OEM ECU and have a software such as Hondata to control it

I got the ecu setup to run BBG, also my tuner can set this up. I just dont know what hardware to buy to be able to run BBG. Is a mac 3 port controller enough? Im looking ag this kit.

A 3 port MAC solenoid should be all you need as long as the ECU has bost control features
