gear dependent boost controler?
I'd like to have gear dependent boost, but i don't know what works and what doesnt on the street. Is manual a good solution or should i go with electronic one like AVC-R? I've read some things about the instalation of the AVC-R but i really have no idea what to do.

I'll be going with crome, because i think it's the least money and gets the job done.
What ECU did you use with the AVC-R?

you wont be dissappointed, it is really a nice piece of electronics, held boost great from ow to high psi and the rpm and gear dependant boost capability make holding traction a breeze. LOL i sound like an apex'i ad

a question i've had pretty much about all boost controllers i guess...
say for example you're running 5psi 1st gear, 7psi 2nd gear, 10psi 3rd gear, and so on...
each boost level doesn't have a specific fuel/timing map does it? i think the only EMS that allows you to is AEM, right?

Why do you feel you need an individual map for each boost level. Last time I looked at my S300 it has a column for each boost level up to my limit. You ECU will limit the boost to what ever column you tell it too

yeah thats what i thought...
but since the ecu and boost controller dont communicate directly to eachother, i guess the EMS just rely's on what boost is picked up by the MAP.. then adjusts accordingly?
