ok, but what about the guys that actually have a business? are they still gonna be allowed to post when they have specials and group buys and what not? i only ask b/c a lot of the stuff i have bought from Viren, i first read about in the FI forum, i rarely visit classifieds or best buys

bandwidth (very expensive) + server resources ( could get expensive too), these things add up a lot, they might not be improtant if its a small website, but very important to a larger website, i think avatars is good enough, since they're hosted localy on the server, unless this becomes a paid membership board, to which many people won't contribute.

back to your suggestion, its a very good idea to have a separate section. When i was looking for all motor parts - I COMPLETELY ignored FI parts, but now that I'm looking through FI parts, its even more difficult, since classifieds move so fast, I end up going through 30 pages.. just to keep up for the day of the ads. For that reason, I don't mind seeing classifieds ads in FI forum, but it would be Great if separate FI Classified section was created.

Ive stated everything that is gonna happen. We will not make another forum because we have too many. When we first started HT we were all TECH. We didnt allow any classifieds, period. I started to let people do group buys and it got way out of hand. Im trying to be fair to those who support honda-tech, and those who dont. Its not about money. I mean it does cost alot of cash to run this site and there is no one like us.

I know its a change for some people, but to those that have been around here a long time its more of going back the way we used to be. Trust me, its for the better.

exactly, it cost back for traffic bandwidth and space on the server. this site would have to become membership to get the extra pictures and stuff like that. we should be very thankful that we have this.

Default Suggestion

How about put a keyword or something in the the Title of the Classified or Best Buys Section so FI related FS and GB posts can be easily searched on?

FSFI: for For Sale Forced Induction

GBFI: Group Buy " "

Default mkay!

for the amount of time i spend posting and reading on here, i would not mind paying a membership fee, to make it better for users, and to keep the scammers out! i couldnt even imagine how much time a lot of you guys with 5k+ posts spend on here. why not take a giant HT wide poll about if they should charge and make it better and get the weasels out... or if we should stay as is.... it could be its own forum sextion off of the main page... give every current member 1 vote, see what happens... this could also be a good way for HT to generate some revenue.. then you could give away prizes! JK ....... anyway i was serious about everytning but the prizes...

give it a chance !

I thank you guys for wanting to pay money, but we have always intended honda-tech to be a free site and it will remain like that.

I think if you want to get the point across, Dustin's post needs to be removed from the top of the forum first.

Earl and Art, wood work! It's gonna be nice to have HT back to the way it used to be.

P.S. Don't mess with Dustin.

How ironic, a dictatorship that has a forum. What an oxymoron, the dictatorship's forum...

I agree with the other person about creating a FI Classifieds forum, because when I post it in the classifieds forum.. I get no response, or I get "post it in the FI forums, i'm sure you'll get more response there" As soon as I post it into FI, people are PMing me here and there. Something worth considering..
