SEARCHED. Smoke out of pcv/exhaust
i have a built h22 turbo.
wiseco 8.5.1
eagle rods
arp bottom end
t3/t4 60 63 garret NEW
Im getting some smoke out of the exhaust and the pcv durring start up. (sometimes) after it warms up it seems to be fine. Im not sure what could be the problem. the tune is pretty safe. 18psi-350whp. i dont runa restrictor on my turbo and thought maybe that could be a problem. maybe a small amout of oil in the ic and it burns out after a few mins? any thoughts. Gunna do a compression test this week.
Thanks
George

do you know what the piston to wall clearance was set to? do you know what the ring gap was set too?
a little smoke when cold on a turbo motor isn't a bad thing in my opinion.

Is it steam or smoke? You have to learn to tell the difference because so many guys actually believe steam = smoke on cold days...

try doing a compression test cold then do it again warm and see how much the numbers change...it might just be a little "loose"
