Default Searched, JRSC question.

Hey guys, searched the forums, checked the FAQ, but no luck. I'm looking to run a JRSC with all the fancy upgrades, the 440cc injectors, Hondata s300, different pulleys, etc. I have a stock 98+ B18C R from the merry land of japan, and I was wondering if you guys with GSR or Type R set ups like mine used the Hondata s300 from Jackson racing, and if the map that comes with it is any good, or if I should just plan on having the car tuned.

I'll most likely run the 6lb pulley for a while, eventually I plan on buying a water/meth kit (cheaper than LHTs intercooler, not to mention I get to carry around Boost Juice ) and going up to the 11lb pulley. I'm pretty sure once I start throwing the meth in I'll have to get tuned regardless, I was just wondering if I'd be fine on the stock map while I cruise around on 6lbs.

My car is strictly a Daily Driven Autocrosser, no interest in drag racing, but I may do some track days at sebring and moroso in the future. I looked into a Full Race Turbo kit with 330s an s300, tune, etc and it ended up being almost $3,000 more than the JRSC set up, so I'm going with the blower unless I win the lottery.

the map will most likely work, and may work well, but every engine has different needs, a true dyno tune will never hurt.

Thats what I figured, like I said once I go meth I fully intend on being dyno and street tuned. I was just wondering if Hondata fixed the lean throttle tip in problems that used to plauge the JRSCs, as long as the map from JR will handle 6lbs on a daily basis with no risk to the engine. I would hate to lose my engine because I was too lazy to save up and do it all at one time.

you dont need to get a s300 its expensive close to $650 plus to get it tuned another $400 i'm running a jrsc and ima get mine tuned with a program called ectune search the name and read up a little. the map sensor will work fine but a true tune is a must and for future advice you might wanna change the pistons and ring when i put on my supercharger on my way to get it tuned it busted all of my ringlands and i wasnt even punching it im rebuilding now . get some low compression pistons and new rings

I'm buying the High boost kit, it comes with 3 pulleys, the Hondata s300, and injectors, for only about $1000 more than the base kit. I know alot about ECTune, but I dont want to change my pistons. I like my 11.1 compression ratio
