Default sc'ing gsr

i looked around the forum and couldnt find an answer to my question so here it is, i dont know much about superchargers, and im about to swap in a gsr into my 00 ex and i was wondering, what if any, do u have to "reinforce" with a supercharger. i know with a turbo, its smart to get better rods and pistons and what not, i was wondering if theres anything like that i would need to get to make sure my supercharger doesnt blow my motor. when i get it, jackson racing supercharger kit, im just gonna run it at whatever psi it comes with for awhile. thanx

GSR's run very well with superchargers in stock form. I would spend your money on some sort of fuel control and your ready to go. I wouldn't recomend over 10 psi as the intake temps are through the roof already.
Go with a good header ( Kamakazi ) and a 2.5" cat back and a good intake, you should be 240-250 ish at that point.

I disagree, I would say with those mods and Hondata 225 would be the highest he would see.

I had a JRSC on my GSR and made 200 on 8psi w/ an FMU.

I would never do it again, go turbo instead.

i would love to turbo it, but i drive about 5-600 miles a week, so i was looking for something that would put a lil less strain on the motor, and i heard superchargers were alot safer and less harsh on the engine. i know just leaving it stock would prolly be the best, but i still want some sort of boost .any thoughts on that? anyone use there car that much with turbo? but i havent made my mind up yet so help me out, LOL!! like i said i would LOVE a turbo, but my car is my job, and i need something reliable.

I properly installed turbo will be just as reliable as any supercharger.

Go turbo, and I gaurantee you will never look back.

A properly installed turbo CAN be as reliable as a supercharger.

Problem with the turbo and reliability, is that you NEVER leave the boost at your 1st settings

well if i get turbo, im prolly just gonna get a turbo kit thats made for my stock motor (kinda like the edelbrock kit for they make for my d16y8) and leave it alone, atleast until i do internals and stuff, but im a noob when i comes to tuning, and ecus and just about everything, LOL. thats why i was looking into the supercharger, cuz from what i understand and read, you just put it on and it does its thing (well atleast thats what they say)

Stop listening to whoever youre getting this garbage from.

You need to tune your engine regardless of your power adder.

If you are 100% positive you just want a low boost setup for you daily driver go with a GReddy kit. If you want alittle more headroom go RevHard or Drag.

Not to mention that superchargers always break their damn belts!! JRSC sucks, Go with a turbo it's the same amount of strain as a turbo.

go with a supercharger. I have had both and for what your looking for the supercharger will be perfect.

supercharger is %100 less maint. than a turbo set up. Just run 8psi or less and you will be fine for a long time.

boost is boost.

You can drive a turbo'd car without boosting it.

boost is boost, doesn't matter how you do it to your motor.

There is absolutely no reason for a turbo setup to be less reliable than a supercharger, unless you installed it poorly.

Read this, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=688120 .

Turbo.
