What turbo kit do you guys prefer? 500 - 600hp
Hi I have a Fully built turbo motor thats waiting for a new turbo kit...
I would like to make 500 - 600hp
I was planning on buying a hytech kit with a liquid to air setup... pretty expensive..
or should i piece together a kit using the lovefab sidewinder v2 manifold and an sc61, and use a fmic?
or should I stick with the good ole inline pro manifold?
I would appreciate some help on which turbo kit would be preferred by some of you ht people! I dont prefer to cut my bumper out for a humongous intercooler hence the liquid to air, but i also want reliability and no bumper cut Does the manifold matter as much as people say or is it all for the bling factor?
thanks

I don't understand people who take the time to post "SEARCH" instead of giving an answer. Basically your covering your *** because YOU don't know the answer. Either post a helpful response or don't post at all...
For your question, I'd sy Full-race. If you did a "SEARCH ***" on full race, you hear nothing but good things. Just remember they don't come with fuel management. I'd suggest Uberdata or Hondata for that.
If you have a built motor, I'd stay away from Drag or Revhard kits. Your motor has more potential then what those kits offer.
Other than Full-race, I'd say Peakboost kits, Sthperformance, those kits are great. Look in the Sponsor forums under Forced Induction to see the prices on those kits.
Good luck.

heat soak is one of the bigger problems with a water to air ic on a street driven car

no, its just that the heat exchanger tends to absorb all of the heat from the water with very little of the heat being transferred to the ambient air. if it were me. id wire up a small fan on the heat exhancger and have a temp gauge to monitor the water temp

Not legal for NHRA SFWD.
As for the kit...
Full-Race A/C setup.

Re: What turbo kit do you guys prefer? 500 - 600hp (Bryson)
didnt i know every one will say full-race lol
if it was me i would do a custom kit
with a
lovefab mini-me/AC with v-band wastegate open
44mm tial
sc61 i like the S-trim
the precision 600hp intercooler will fit with out much cutting
and you know all the other things of a kit

Not me.
1. more $
2. more parts
3. more complicated
4. not NHRA SFWD legal
5. a good FMIC will be more than enough the power your looking for
6. not the greatest setup for a street car

Max-rev?!?! you mean a log mani plus a t3/t04e?
First, a t3/t04e ( a new garrett) only supports 480crank hp. how do you expect to get 5 or 600 out of it?
Secondly, at that power level, a log mani becomes very ineffiecient

Bryson, whats spool up like with that t4 sc61?

Awsome...I love it. It gets a full 15psi by 5K. From most people that I've talked too that have the .63 T3 with the stage5 wheel, it's about the same spool up only boost hits harder.
I have the P trim with .58ar.
