your powerband will suck a fat one with that turbo. . Unless you are building it up and reving to 8k, I really wouldn't get this turbo.

you'll get 300whp very easily with this turbo, but your powerband will suck a fat one ...playing with a 2 thousand RPM is not very cool unless it's for the dragstrip

Power is dropping like god damn rock by 7K. Revving to 8K is worthless.

Re: sc61 on a stock ls block (Chip)
actually torque starts to drop at 6000. That's why redline is 6800. With a built head though revving to 8 grand the torque won't drop as bad. I was almost going to say your playing with a 1k powerband, but then people would have gotten on my ***...lol

Re: (Lmaonade)
i plan on building this ls motor up in a couple of months. i plan to at least make 500hp with it fully built. but as of right know, i just want to see how it performs on a stock ls . and right now my garrett turbo is going to ****, so i really need to put a new turbo on. and i'm just curious what the power band will look like before i install the sc61 on my stock ls.

My boy is running an LS with 81.5mm pistons, rods, and blockguard with a completely stock head with an SC61 and it runs like a champ... Mase tuned at 417whp 340tq and ran a 12.9 at 113 i believe it was. The 12.9 run was on nitto 555r's, pump gas, low boost, and this is a full interior 95 ex civic with leather seats and AC. I know its not stock but it has almost stock bore, has stock compression, and only revs to about 7200rpms on stock head. The car easily beats mustangs, srt-4, STI's, ect. with 18 volk rims, a bomex kit, full interior, and on 93 pump gas running 13 psi. Hope that might help

A lot of heat soak but you get the idea of what the powerband will look like.
