The motor is bad, it was not decked, when the block guard was installed, it's leaking coolant into the cylinders. The motor is getting pulled and redone at a machine shop.

I understand that if my motor was in good condition the sc61 would spool better, and the sc61 is an awesome turbo, but it's still overkill for my goals, so I was just wondering what would be a good turbo for what I want to do. Thanks again guys, I'm looking at a sc34 or equivalent Garrett hybrid.</TD></TR></TABLE>

I honestly dont think you will see much spool difference between a .63 sc61 and a .63 sc34 at all. If so, it would probably take a datalog to even tell a difference in spool.

If you actually want a good torque curve I would consider a .48/.60 SC50 or a GT28RS. The GT28R is weaksauce in comparo to the RS, I wouldnt even consider that one.

Good luck

I'm giving it to my mechanic, he will be doing all the labor for it. Pulling my motor and re-install.

If you want fun on the street GT28RS is the way to go!

I went from a t3 to a t3/t4 to a GT28RS and there is a WORLD of a difference with the GT turbos!

FORGET anything that's not ball bearing.

fun to drive &gt; peak whp

BTW if you are interested in GT turbos PM me!

i don't think you can even get a garret 57 trim t3/t04e for 500 shipped new.....unless it fell off the truck somewhere....

BTW i have that same turbo and its a great street turbo....starts to spool just under 3000rpm and full boost by 4-4500rpm....... </TD></TR></TABLE>

http://www.camp1320.com

It was $515 shipped I beleive.

t3/t4e 57 trim .63 a/r

BRAND NEW.

Call them and verify yourself...

This was in March I beleive....

My dyno chart can be found on the link in my sig...

if your goal is 350whp and boost as fast as possible and holding till redline:
gt28rs If you got the monney(gt28r doesnt always make it till redline on a b16)
or a t3to4e 50trim .48a/r annybody that doesnt agree: try to reed compressor maps.

That's exactly what I got, sc50 with .48 AR, motor is almost put back together, should be hitting the dyno early next week.

From what I've put together, @10psi the amount of flow the turbo is rated for (like 35lb/min for most t3t04), that #x10 is the max whp. I also believe that precision turbo's seem to be named for the lb/min flow.

Basicly, the 60-1 is twice the turbo a b16 should have, since it's hard to stuff 35lb/min into a 1.6L at under 10psi. I vote sc34, albeit it's probably a moot point by now.
