Default sc34 or sc 44?

I am looking to make 400whp in a b16 fully built. (hondata,550cc injectors, golden eagle sleeves, crower rods, cp pistons, rev hard cast manifold, rev hard intercooler good for 450hp, bowl blending on the head, 3in downpipe and 3in all the way back). What would u guys go with, the sc34 or sc 44? I drive the car everyday and am wanting to get it to spool as soon as possible. Any suggestions on at what rpm these turbos reach full boost would help.

Whats your displacement? I'm assuming that you up'ed your displacement from 1.6L which would improve your spool time.....so i'd go with the SC44 (60 trim wheel) over the SC34(57 trim wheel). But i'm sure from looking at your hp goal and setup someone will suggest an SC60

Yeah with a 2.0L setup i'd definately go with the SC44 over the 34.....best bet would be to contact Arturbo, Camp1320, Importparts or any of the other dealers, they should be able point you in the right direction

Why do u say the sc44? Would the sc34 not hanlde what im wanting to do? It says it can be tuned for 545hp to the flywheel. Thats way more than im going to need. Thanks for the help.

It be tough for the 550s to make 400whp,I say go with 720cc

Yep, 550's won't do it.

Also, I have the sc34, happy with it, but won't have motor built till summer. I'm looking for 400whp on pump gas, 400+ on 100oct unleaded.

Then the SC34 would be better suited for you since it would have a quicker spoolup than the 44. Just remember to get it tuned well.

BTW, wouldn't an 84mm B16 = ~1.8-1.9L?

I thought 84mm sleeves are the same size as the b20 crv block..Thats a 2.0.

I thought 84 sleeves would make it a 2.0. Same size the b20 has. Maybe not.

no not 84mm on a b16 cause it has short stroke 77.4 vs the ls or b20 89.
