Saturated injectors for 99 Civic and VAFC Hack
I've seen a lot of people use peak and hold injectors w/resistor box, but in my case can I just use saturated injectors w/o the box and use that with the VAFC HACK?? Thanks for the help...

they're using the DSM 450 cc ones w/ resistors or a resistor box. However, you can just spend the bank and get some RC 440s. then you won't have to wire in resistors.
How much do the RC's/clips cost? Like $320+? I'd rather spend the $50 for DSM's and another $10-20 on a resistor box, or even less for induvidual resistors.
My question was if i could use saturated injectors WITHOUT the box for the VAFC hack
THanks for the help. Also, is there anything else that I would need for the peak and hold injectors to fit into my car. I.E. o-rings and clips and where could i find this stuff?? Once again thanks a lot for the help...

If your car has saturated injectors, you'll need peak and hold injector clips that are about $2 each, or you might be able to get them with the DSMs. I didn't need any new seals or o-rings with mine, just lined em up and bolted the rail down slowly. It's a tight fit, but they popped right in.
I was checking out resistor boxes on Ebay but i noticed that they didnt come with any wiring. Are the wires attached to the clips??? If not, do you guys know where i can find theM? Once again thank you for any input...

there's a dude on here that will sell your EVERYTHING you need for a good price ... includes resistor box, OBDI clips (if you're OBDII), and detailed wiring instructions. i don't remember if he includes cleaned injectors or not. But anyway, if anyone knows his name, post it up. Many have been happy with him. he's also on -- *GASP* -- clubsi.com.
You have email Sonny
And one more thing, which installtion do you think would less likely to have problems down the line??? Saturated or peak and hold. I would have thought it should be saturated because you dont have to worry about all the extra wiring involved. What do you guys think????

We found that a direct comparison between 310cc RC injectors and the 450DSM/resistorbox setup yielded better response with the RC units. Testing was done with a Dynojet utilizing the air-fuel module. The car is a 92 Civic, B16 turbo swap, stock P61 ecu, Apex VAFC, FMU, 255 pump, T3/04E turbo. With tuning, the RC units made 384hp with the air-fuel ratio at 14:1. Desiring a lower ratio, the DSM units were swapped in and the box was wired up. No problems starting the car, and tuning began. We found the DSM units unable to make power as quickly as the RC units, that throttle response ultimately wasn't as quick, and that the AFC settings ended up being almost as high as with the RC's. In the end, the DSM units were pulled back out, the RC units were re-installed, and the boost was turned down a couple pounds.
Currently, we've installed new 36lb high-imped. units (along with a bored rail), are making just over 350hp, and have the air-fuel ratio down to 12:1 everywhere.
The VAFC is unmodified and a Missing Link unit is on the throttle body.. Other than that, I don't think there are any other mods.
Just my two bits..
