the turbo has an internal WG.

my question is....: is it ok to start the car without a DOWNPIPE and a O2 sensor just to check that everything is working proparly?

well most people that have an internal wastegated turbo have the greddy turbo, which comes with an elbow before the dp. so its pretty much and open turbo but its throwing exhaust gasses out so its not like anything is going to fly up there and cause an damage. the only thing to look out for on open dp is boost spikes, dont try and really get on it until the dp is on. a little FYI
